Last updated: April 2026
The AI Bar collects only what you give us directly — your name, email address, and any information you include in a contact form or course purchase. We do not track you, profile you, or share your data with anyone except the platforms we use to deliver our service.
1. Who We Are and Who This Policy Applies To
This Privacy Policy explains how The AI Bar, operated at theaibar.in, collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal data when you use our website, subscribe to our mailing list, or purchase any course or module.
This policy applies to all users of theaibar.in, including visitors, subscribers, and paying students.
For data protection purposes, The AI Bar is the data controller in respect of personal data collected through this site.
For any privacy-related queries, contact us at hello@theaibar.in.
2. What Data We Collect and Why
2.1 The AI Bar collects only the personal data you actively and voluntarily provide to us. We do not collect browsing data, device data, or any information passively through your use of this site. The categories of data we collect, and the purposes for which we collect them, are set out below.
2.2 When you subscribe to the mailing list: We collect your email address, and where provided, your name. This is used to send you The AI Bar newsletter and content updates. This processing is carried out on the basis of your consent. You may withdraw consent and unsubscribe at any time using the link in any email we send you.
2.3 When you submit a contact form: We collect your name, email address, and the contents of your message. This is used solely to respond to your enquiry. This processing is carried out on the basis of our legitimate interests in responding to communications addressed to us.
2.4 When you purchase a course or module: We collect your name, email address, and transaction details. Payment processing is handled by third-party processors — we do not collect or store payment card information directly. This processing is carried out for the performance of a contract with you.
3. How We Store Your Data
3.1 The personal data you provide to us — including your name, email address, contact form submissions, and purchase information — is stored securely through the third-party platforms we use to operate this site, including (but not limited to) Teachable, Gumroad, Beehiiv, and our payment processors. We do not operate independent data servers.
3.2 We retain your personal data only for as long as is necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, or as required by applicable law.
3.3 Mailing list data is retained until you unsubscribe, at which point it is deleted from our mailing list platform. Contact form data is retained only for as long as is necessary to respond to your enquiry and is not stored beyond that purpose. Course purchase data is retained for a period of 7 years for accounting and legal compliance purposes.
4. Who We Share Your Data With
4.1 We do not sell your personal data to any third party.
4.2 We share only the data you actively provide to us with the third-party service providers necessary to operate this platform — including course hosting platforms, email marketing platforms, and payment processors. No passive or inferred data is collected or shared.
